Christians have been claiming Darwin went Christian at his death bed and refuted and denied his own teachings...

Personally I say consider the source who told that to you.

Christians claim Darwin went Christian...

Some Black people claim Jesus was Black...

If you ask any revisionist, whichever historical person they most admire will inevitably be subject to their own theory of how they belong to their ethnic/ideological/regional group.

Oh shit, ok I thought he really did turn Christian, the dude that told me said he did it because he wanted to rest peacefully and have no shit on his name.

No one knows how Darwin died. He might have, then again he might have not. It's kind of like Davy Crocketts death, no one will ever know for sure.

yeah, but his whole family said it's bullshit. we'll never know for sure; it's not like they recorded his death, but it's kind of like the pope praising allah while on his death bed JUST TO BE SURE..it's not going to happen.

It's complete bullshit. Darwin did not become a christian on his deathbed. It's actually pretty funny...I looked into this a long time ago. The day he supposedly said this, turns out, was the same day he spent with Karl Marx's son-in-law and told him "christianity was not supported by evidence." If anyone thinks differently, research it yourself.

It's obviously a method used by desperate christians in a lame attempt to disprove Evolution.

What would it matter anyhow? If I discovered that fire was hot, then provided evidence, only to say it was all a lie in the end, are you going to say "fuck, I thought that shit was really hot!"? It shouldn't matter if he turned Christian, his writings are there, and the evidence has not perished. If he did claim to be Christian in the end, I think it would have something to do with what I talked about in the "Evolution v. Creation" thread, where I said that without religion (a moral foundation), there would be chaos in our society. And no.. we have not seen chaos in this country [yet], as bad as it may already seem. Just a thought.
