rap-a-lot will never step up their promotion. yet they still sign artists and people still making money. They are independent with major distribution. I don't think sales is a huge issue at rap-a-lot

I told everybody that Rap-A-Lot needed to step the promotion on Trae but it ain't ever gonna happen. That's sad tho cause Ray Cash and Little Brother sold more then him their first week.

it aint his fault--its rap-a-lot. I aint knockin J's hustle in any way, but he doesnt promote the right artists. he promotes the artists that are already somewhat mainstream (pimp c, bun b)

yeah but 10,000 in the first week is fuckin terrible....
They ain't bumpin Trae nowhere that I know of but Texas and Louisiana. I ain't seen a video, fuck it, I ain't even seen a Trae flyer or poster. Over 10,000 sales in his first week, sounds like a great opportunity for any independent artist with a chance to get his album on store shelves. Get yo grind on Trae, let a nigga know when the video is going down, so I can give all the haters the Thizz Face.

Traes worst album. He on RAL now and the beats on his album are shit compaired to z-ro's or yuk's or face's old beats or devins. Be real beats was basic as fuck, nothing special and the og single for the album wasnt even on the album. What do you expect???????????

about half the beats were produced by Q-stone which trae has been with since Same Thing Different Day (even before that). The other ones are various people with I think Mr. Rogers being the only one that pops up more than once.

I wasn't feeling the beats as much as his others either, but his spit is still true and raw.

It was a good album, imo, to get other people to listen. Just like CHam did, he changed his shit just a little to attract others while still keeping his main crowd in it.

I agree with you

And to the person sayin that it was good being that is an underground release. It isn't an underground album cuz Rap-A-Lot has major distribution with Asylum which released Webbie which I believe went gold and Paul Wall & Mike Jones which I think went platinum.

Give it some time though. Only a little over a week has passed. Fpr not having any kinds of recognition on the front media tip, Trae has been doing his thing. He was on that Pimp C video and that will be the start for him. Right now, it seems this cat has a good head on his shoulders and he knows that to be great, you have to take a few missed swings. I got faith in the guy. In all honesty, I am dissapointed in the people right now. I have not seen one VITAL thread of an album discussion on this boy.
