Well, it looks like Michael is not as broke as the media had once portrayed the self-proclaimed King Of Pop during his last trial leading up to his hiatus. And I say this because Michael Jackson has just added the rights to Eminem's publishing onto a list of publishing rights owned by MJ. I guess this can be labeled as an ironic situation if you can recall back onto Eminem's 2004 music video, where he mocked Michael Jackson, causing a huge uproar during the center of the pop star's alleged molestation frenzy.
Now assuming that Eminem is a big time crossover selling rap artists, it is safe to assume that Michael Jackson may have acquired his publishing rights at an unknown hefty sum. In addition to Eminem, he also purchased the publishing rights to other big named artists such Beck, Bjork, and Shakira, putting them all in line next to Michael's long time and widely known ownership to the rights of the Beatles catalogue. This was all capable due to a deal with Viacom for his company and Michael did not forget that. A proud Michael Jackson stated, "This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ ATV."
