Crash Holly Found Dead

Michael Lockwood dead at 34

Michael Lockwood, aka Crash Holly and Mad Mikey, was found dead today in Florida. He was 34. According to Dave Meltzer, he was found dead in Steven Richards' house.

WWE.com had this statement:

Michael Lockwood passes away


World Wrestling Entertainment is saddened by the loss of Michael Lockwood, known professionally as Crash Holly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Michael's friends and family.

I'm not sure if he was from Pacifica, but he trained in Hayward at All Pro Wrestling.

I liked Crash. He was stuck with a shitty gimmick, but he was agile in the ring. He was doing work in the NWA before he died as "Mad Mikey."

Those 24/7 defenses of the hardcore title were some of the greatest television I have ever seen. I still have a picture in my head of Crash getting attacked in the airport and escaping through the baggage claim. And that fight in the kids playground was some classic shit.

He was a cool ass guy. Back when he was Leprechaun Erin O'Grady in APW. He used to do some sick shit before he yoked up to get into the wwe. He sat down and talked to me and my friend for like 10 mins. in between his matches, gave me a signed photo too.


lol...I remember him and Vicious Vic Grimes tag teamed vs. west side2000, and after the match crash tied westside's "pimp" (He was a white dude named White Chocolate teddy Bear)to his caddy and tried to drag him around the parking lot.

Another good one was the night he returned from ecw, he had one of the greatest entrances Id ever seen. All the lights in the wherehouse turned off and when they came on he was standing on the balcony (10 feet above the ring) and jumped off and did a clothesline. Shit was ridiculous.
