I see what you're driving at Nitro and I agree, but I also see what the others are saying. The Kings dropping games they should be winning looks bad, yes. Here's my take on that though: We all have teams that we struggle against that we shouldn't. Sacramento always has a hard time (no matter the records) playing in Minn, Phoenix, and Atlanta. So when they lose in these cities, I don't bat an eye. The bottom line is your team, esp. when they're playing exceptionally well, will drop 3-4 games to sub .500 teams in any given year. You can bank on that.
The situation with the Lakers ONLY looks worse because they're losing to the good teams as well. The general consensus is that, in such a funk, they should at LEAST be beating the .500 and below teams. AT LEAST. Only they're not. So it makes them losing to the likes of Golden State and the rest - laughable.
In any other year these losses would be considered mere speed bumps.
