I used to make music using Cubase VST 5.0, but I wanted to be able to rewire Reason into Cubase so I upgraded to 5.1 (5.0 is really buggy with Rewire). Well, 5.1 seems to be pretty buggy in other aspects, such as, I'm unable to open some of my older tracks I had created in 5.0. So I downgraded back to 5.0, and I still can't load my shit. The error it says everytime I try to load my old songs is "No more mixer channels". Now it says this in 5.1 AND 5.0. If anyone can give me any suggestions to be able to pull up some of my older songs I'd really appreciate it.

Plus, I'm a little afraid to try and make new songs with my Cubase setup, because I don't want it to have this type of problem again.

NORKAL HAS PROBABLY HELPED YOU BY NOW BUT IF HE HASNT MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY THIS.

GO TO THE *AUDIO* PULL DOWN MENU.

GO TO *SYSTEM* AND YOU WILL SEE "AUDIO PERFORMENCE".

NUMBER OF CHANNELS:8

MEMORY PER CHANNEL:192

DISK BUFFER SIZE:64

CHANGE THE NUMBER OF CHANNELS TO 64. AFTER THAT REDUCE TO 48,32 OR 24.

I DONT KNOW IF THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM BUT IT HELPED ME OUT BEFORE. I HAD ALL THESE TRACKS AND THE ONLY WAY IT WAS POSSIBLE FOR ME TO LISTEN TO THE OTHER TRACKS WAS IF I MUTED SOME. SO I SAID THIS IS INSANE.........READ THE MANUAL.....AND POW.......
