Crytek, the creators of Crysis and the original Far Cry, announced today it will demonstrate its CryENGINE 2 game development middleware and their Sandbox 2 game editor again at this year's Game Developer Conference in San Francisco.
CryENGINE 2 will be shown for the first time running on multiple hardware platforms, including the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Cevat Yerli, Sten Hübler and Bernd Diemer will host a GDC session entitled "Crysis in the Making", providing a behind the scenes look at the developing of Crysis and the CryENGINE 2. Additionally, there will be various conference sessions involving key Crytek technical staff.
And the devolpers said the consoles were not powerful enough...but niether the 360 or ps3 support directX 10...so wonder how good it will look and what they will strip out of the game so it can run on the console hardware??
