Anyone ever read up on the Cristero Wars?

I believe that what they are called. When Mexico in the early 1900's wanted to rid the Catholic Church from it's Country.

Im reading Mexico: A biography of Power, right now to get up on its history.

it was part of Mexico's revolution, to rid the country of outside influences. The catholic church was seen as an aspect of the old colonial dominance and was suppressed by the revolutionary government. A cristero or catholic soldier assassinated the mexican president and revolutionary leader Obregon in the 1930's
