Crhymes Of Passion
From a life growing up in the foster care system in and around dope houses, he now runs his own San Diego Hip-Hop enterprise. While Cesar “ Crhymes” Tellez is lyrically a standout Hip Hop artist with his own fast passed “Twista” style delivery, it is his entrepreneurial spirit and passion to “put his city on” that sets him apart.
Crhymes started honing his music career in 1999 by learning production and engineering at studios across the county. By 2003 he earned a spot on the Sicko Records roster where he lent his talents to many projects including several with San Diego’s Latin legend Lil Uno. After he’s stint with “Tha Sicko Camp” Crhymes teamed up with fellow MC Brandon “B.G.” Guaderrama to form Tha Cor or “Circle Of Ridahs”. Tha Cor took on countless shows throughout the city from Canes to The Rhythm Lounge, and released an album “The Next Level Of This” in 2006.
After that Crhymes went into hip-hop activist mode becoming one of the most vocal participants in local forums at AccessHipHop.com, and Siccness.net. The mogul in him came out as he started promoting his “Cali Up, Haters Down” shows and spearheaded the Internet radio station DagoSD.com. Crhymes continued recording and could be heard as a featured artist on countless SD projects including Young Mass’ “The Best Of Daygo City”, and CoopDVills “Community Service V.2” albums.
Last month Crhymes released his solo debut titled “One Breath Closer” through Calmex Music Group. The album represents his experiences of over ten years in San Diego’s Hip-hop scene, and features Lil Uno, Ecay Uno, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony MC Bizzy Bone. (Album info at:

The song my group Tha Cor submitted is called “Smoke And Get High”… The title speaks for itself. We were so blown that day that I cant even remember laying my verse down!?!? The result was beautiful.

Worst movie you've seen (and why was it so bad)?
That would have to be Zombie Strippers. C’mon, Zombie Strippers? Do I really have to explain why it was a horrible movie?

None - I am to busy with recording, If not on solo work or Tha Cor’s next album, then I’m doing a feature on someone else’s project.

“Wrap it up” – I gave myself that advise after watching all my friends have kids and piss off their dreams.

I’m a MAC man; they don’t really catch viruses and are way more dependable than a wack ass PC.

Currently my favorite verse is Eminem’s part to “Forever” by Drake featuring Eminem, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. I just like it because Em murders them other dudes on this track! The hook is dope too, and I can really relate to it right now.

I hate driving between to big rigs and the center divider on the freeway.

I would want it to be like "8 mile" where I would play myself and loosely base it around my life story.
Worst Christmas gift you ever got (and why did it suck)?
Our house was robbed on christmas eve once. But since we were poor and our gifts werent really worth anything, they got mad and just trashed the place and left the gifts behind.
