CPU PROBLEM

my homies father just gave me a cpu, fully formated, with windows 7...

for the past 2 years ive had my internet connected by usb from my modem to the cpu..the ethernet port is fucked up..

anyway, on this new cpu its not letting me get on the net, even though my modem shows active pc activity when the usb cable is attached...im guessing i gotta configure it to that, but im only getting the option for broadband or dial-up when i click on internet options...

anyone here good with this shit?

also, it's called a PC, not CPU a CPU is a small part of the PC

time for a new modem dude bro. if you've had it for that long id talk to your ISP and they'll prolly give u a new one

yeah ring your Internet Service Provider and ask them for a modem, if not you can buy one for around $75, not sure about US prices though.
