Why would Cotto take this fight??!?!? I definately understand Judah's reasonings, but Cotto KO'd him, it really wasn't that close of a fight. Judah landed some big punches that stunned Cotto from time to time, but that's pretty much it. It was, for the most part, a one sided match. I just don't understand the logic behind this at all...

In an interview on Btalk, Yoel Judah informed everyone that Cotto vs. Judah did over 1,000,000 pay per view buys! He also said Top Rank has contacted them and wants to do a rematch in Puerto Rico. Zab himself said he wanted a rematch in Puerto Rico immediately after the fight, so both parties are on the same page. If Cotto and Judah get through their next bouts (Cotto has his mandatory and Zab fighting Sept 7th as a 'stay busy' fight on FNF), expect the rematch fight to be signed for sometime in early to mid 2008. source

If it's true and pans out, I feel really bad for Margarito. The guy just can't catch a big fight. I have more respect for Margarito than almost any boxer right now. True champ. Always fights his mandatories.

Cotto-Cintron Possible, Cotto-Judah Numbers

By Mark Vester

Current WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is slated to face his Top Rank stablemate, WBO welterweight champ Antonio Margarito, who defends his title against unbeaten Paul Williams on July 14.

Should Margarito lose, promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank has several other options in mind. He recently revealed to boxing writer Dan Rafael that if Margarito loses, the two fighters at the top of the list to face Cotto are IBF welterweight champ Kermit Cintron and another Top Rank fighter, slick boxer Joshua Clottey.

A bout with Cintron would depend of him winning his mandatory bout with Walter Matthysse, which also takes place on July 14. Arum is willing to stage either bout on regular HBO, instead of their pay-per-view arm.

"I don't mind doing either of those on HBO rather than HBO PPV," Arum said. "But the fight we would like to do is Shane Mosley [on HBO PPV]."

A fight with Mosley would depends on the outcome of the ongoing mediation between Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, who are battling over contractual rights to Manny Pacquiao. Paul Williams would also be in the mix, depending on his performance against Margarito, should he win.

Arum revealed that the Cotto vs. Zab Judah pay-per-view, which took place on June 9 in New York's Madison Square Garden, did about 225,000 buys. Top Rank needed about 150,000 to break even.

Mosley says he's gonna quit after his next fight. He's planning on coaching his eldest son, 16 year-old Shane Jr, to the 2012 London Olympics. He says he wants his last fight to be against Mayweather, but that he would also happily take on Cotto and both Top Rank and Golden Boy have said they are willing to begin discussions.
