I finally listened to this a couple months ago. I was actually suprised at this CD, lately I been givin up on Madesicc Muzicc and Lynch all together. Back in 99' I was Anticipating Siccmade Rituals, then I heard it and was pretty let down. Suspicion wasn't impressive either. The beats and Concepts from 97-99 took a drastic change at the new millenium, with crookwood and some of the others takin front seat on the production.

Cos is like a BLUES rapper, the dude always got some TROUBLES to talk about, and he rubs off on Lynch like a muthafucka with all that "I can't stop drinkin and smokin grits" spit. I can get down with that at times, but this CD is definately not a feel good album by any means and thats cool cuz that shit dont fit C.O.S anyways (i.e #9 Find a way)

#2 Survivor
#5 Stress
#6 Picture THis
#8 Dont Hurt no More
#18 FLy away
#19 I got Problemz

Are all Good songs. I especially like #8
"Break Camp" and "Wata" are also pretty decent.
Lynch Got a little shot for Loki on #16, though he said its all love, still interesting though.
It's good to hear From P-Folks again too. (When ur shit droppin Folks?)
Overall I can listen to this.

What did y'all think in retrospect?

Siccmade rituals got some slaps like 6 but it is a double cd and theres a lot of weak tracks on there. On The whole truth i lke #3, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, and 16. Thats a good amount of tracks especially these days.

you didnt like siccmade rituals though?
Maybe if I'll give it another spin one of these days and get back to u, but back when it was just an advertisement in the IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK CD my expectations were really high considering his Verses on "Mr. No Prints" "Feel my Nature Rize" and "Razor Blades and ALchohal". When the album actually came to light, which was what 3 years later? I felt I waz let down.

I agree with this..when i heard Mr. NoPrintz & "Feel my nature Rize" I was an instant fan, but then his flow changed..it wasnt as crisp anymore and he started to slur a lil bit....he still drop's good verses, but like I said he's a hit or miss with me these days..

'The Whole Truth' been in rotation since the day it came out. No lie. In my opinion, COS ain't for everybody. But if you can relate, and/or stay in that state of mind it's a good album.
