One day after killing his fifth crime suspect, Cleveland police officer Jim Simone said he is neither a trigger-happy rogue cop nor a hero.

He says he is only a police officer who, by God's will and duty's call, keeps landing in situations that require him to use deadly force.

During his 35-year-career, Simone had shot at 11 other suspects, and killed four, before Wednesday. That's when he chased down and shot fleeing bank-robbery suspect Robert Hackworth, 35.

my cousin has killed 2 people and has not done a day in jail both accidents. 1 his best friend at work and another, a lady in a car wreck. people kill people and never go to jail and never meant to do it....... accidents happen!

that being said, i think they should take that cops gun and badge and send him to the poor house. 11 shot and 5 dead, he is abusing his privilege to protect and serve.

I dont know, you'd have to look at each incident under the microscope and understand the who story from both sides.

Shooting a bank robbery suspect is justifiable if A) The robber was using a gun to rob the bank and B) he was not shot in the back.

I have a lot of respect for most police officers, even though we exist on a different plane and live on either side of the law.

using your fire arm 11 times in 35 years as a cop in a city like Cleveland doesn't sound too excessive to me. However, unless you know the man or work along side him, you really dont know which rounds were justified and which rounds we're 'jumping the gun'

you could say the same thing for murder suspects...
you can't say the same thing about murder suspects.

killing somebody cuz they 'disrespected' you or 'fuckedyourwife' is one thing, but stopping a potential killer with bullets before he let's loose into you is quite another.
