I just saw Coolio rapping for a Dexter's Laboratory cartoon on the Cartoon Network. What the fuck happened to his career?
What happened is he probably got paid a lot of money to do it and that show I'm sure is syndicated which means he will keep getting checks for the next 10 years. While you're laughing at him, he is laughing all the way to the bank.

I guess it's a laugh full of jealousy then... to the bank or not, damn, at least it could've been decent.

So it's not funny when someone trades dignity for cash?

The guy is working on some movies and shit homie, plus its not like he stopped dropping albums. What happened to Ice Cube? what happened to Ice T? what what? They are all doing their own thang.

You could argue that most working people in the world are trading their dignity for cash. Regardless, how do you know Coolio traded his dignity for anything? Maybe his plan from the gate was to exploit the industry and make his money rather than the industry exploiting him and leaving him broke?

Coolio never set out to change societies or the course of history with his music. Dude just wanted to get over and not be broke. He came up with a plan to do that and now he ain't missing any meals and he damn sure doesn't hate his 9-5.

yeah, you're right.

Capitalism at it's finest. I guess it's upsetting to me to see people change. I hate to see artists turn away from their art and solely towards business.

Anyway, I hope he, and everyone I read and write to on this forum have a great year.
