How can i convert downloaded movies to a different format?

Like from AVI to MPEG4?

I need to learn how to put movies on my iPod video.


All help is much appreciated.

No, the progam i posted above is only to covert your movies to MPEG4, which is the movie format iPOD and other handheld devices play.

If you want to covert AVI and SVCD you need another program. Why would you want to covert AVI and SVCD to DVD? Do you have a DVD burner and want to create your own DVD's? Just go to download.com and search for it.

^^^i have a couple movies that are on cd-r's, in those formats, and i want to watch them on a dvd player. my dvd player obviously doesnt play them in that format, but i could purchase a dvd player that does, or convert them, i guess.
