I would use either ad-aware 6 or spybot to remove the spyware/adware off your computer.
You should also try Spyware Blaster to keep those things from even installing on your computer. I am guessing you are a using of IE, and I would suggest you switch browsers to either Mozilla's Firefox or Opera. Internet Explorer is full of so many bugs/loopholes/exlpoits, and microsoft takes their time fixing them.

I would recommed seeing what other people say also. Someone else may have something different you can do to remove your problem.

is it pop ups or the ads through windows? if its the ads through windows .. go to 'Control Panel' then "Performance And Maintenance" then "Administrative Tools" then "Services". in Services a box is gonna pop up look for "Windows Messenger" right click it go to properties and disable. that should stop it for good.
