I need a new computer bad, but for now while I save up for a good one I need some help. For some reason my USB ports keep ejecting themselves. I thought it could be a cheap USB port HUB I bought awhile ago but it turns out even my Ipod(which was plugged directly into my comp) keeps ejecting itself. Virus maybe? I was thinking of maybe opening up my comp and checking it out maybe tightening the screws around the USB ports. I really have no idea. Any help?

I'm not really sure what could be happening and I haven't really heard of this problem before but you can try and uninstall the usb ports in the hardware manager and try and reinstall. The actual port might actually be loose on my girlfriends laptop if you move the usb cord even a little it acts like you pulled it out.

Someone else might have better information on this though.

i dont think theres screws on the usb ports.. to my knowledge theyre PCB mounted and soldered on. Sounds like either a trojan virus, or your usb drivers need to be updated like MKB said.
