I believe that my shit got slept on because its not extreme. I'm not killin' a whole bunch of muthafuckas and fuckin' countless bitches in my songs. Not to shit on anyone else, but it's not ignorant enough for most peoples liking. I try to provide a balance of everything. People like to put you in a box and label it, but my shit is kinda hard to label and could be hard to market to one specific audience. Also, I'm not a gang member, so you wont here me bangin, but I do have the homies on there reppin'. This could be a plus for me, but also a liability. If you think about the Dago artist who move the most units, most of them are tied in to a set. In Dago, we don't have any radio support or club support. Our city caters to other muthafuckas. In Antonio's, one of the most popular clubs in San Diego, they cater to the military (Down South). My best friend is the host and my homeboy is the dj. My songs have never been played there. Niggas had to damn near force them to play Mitchy Slick and Damu. That's gay as fuck, but it's politics as usual. And it really takes too much energy to complain, so I'm gone keep it movin', and keep grindin'. All of the sleepers will catch on later.
