After almost 10 years, Sad Clown along with Mac & A.K. will finally be posting up the first full length Mac & A.K. album entitled "Drastic Measures Pt. 1". This is the original album that was recorded between 1995-96 while we were on Tommy Boy Records. I recently found the unmixed version, and because it was never released and most likely never will be, I thought it would be cool to let yall hear the album that Tommy Boy was scared to put out. Now don't be surprised that out of the 17 tracks, 6 of the songs will sound familiar to you if you are a previous Mac & A.K. fan. These six songs were taken from the album to give you guys the WestBound EP. Well now you'll get to hear the entire album the way it was originally intended to be heard.

In my heart I know we and our potential fans got fucked becuase I believe this album was a well put together rookie project that I beleive would have at least reached gold if they had the balls, which they didn't of course. It was a tight package that got rave reviews even though it was never released. Out of 17 songs, we only had features on 4 cuts, and those features was only our click which was Murder One Records (Sean T and Chunk) and our MLB niggas. The last song on the album is one of the coldest posse cuts to never be released (It even features a teenage Scoot Dog appearance on it). Sad Clown will let yall know when it is up...

We just now gettin off a long hiatus to start workin on our new album, but enjoy this one until then.... Oh I found our second Tommy Boy album as well. It's called "Drastic Measures Pt. 2". We'll be posting that one soon as well. Out

It's the least we could do. ALot of people don't know the whole story on us, and may think we got dropped or maybe we didn't record a album worth putting out, but when yall hear it, you'll know that Tommy Boy royally fucked up on this one, and any other established label would have had a gold mine in their lap. I felt the fans would appreciate it even though it is 10 years too late... Shit what me and A.K. did was unheard of then and has never been done since... Fuck it, you win some you lose some...

YOUNG MOE... DID YOU KNOW THAT MY OLD GROUP BLACK JACK WAS ONE OF THE ONLY INDY CALI GROUPS TO GET A GOOD REVIEW IN THE SOURCE OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL CALI CATS LIKE SHORT AND ALL OF THE LA CATS. NOBODY FROM THE BAY GOT GOOD REVIEWS IN THE SOURCE BACK IN THE EARLY 90'S AND WE GOT A GREAT ONE. I DID KNOW ABOUT THAT CUT TOO. WE WAS ABOUT TO TAKE OFF. ALL THE TOP HIP HOP MAGS, LARGE AND INDY BACK THEN WAS CHECKIN FOR US.

@ ANGIE, YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU'LL BE ONE OF THE FEW TO HEAR THE ALBUM BEFORE WE EVEN FINISH IT...

Damn, that's a great news. I could not believe you got a full lp from the CLASSIC "WestBound" ep period and TB records didn't want to put it out...people must be deaf sometimes... Can't wait to hear this one!
