21 Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. 24 Missouri Tigers

An old school rivalry in which Nebraska has dominated...except for lately. Gary Pinkel has turned Mizzou into a consistent winning program, winning 30 games in the last 3 years. Nebraska is one its way back up and will have to flex some defense against the high powered Tiger offense.

17 Auburn Tigers vs. Arkansas Razorbacks

There is no doubt both these teams can score, as Auburn has turned their dismal offense around from last year. The question is, van either of these teams play defense. Auburn is already 2-0 in the SEC West, while the Hogs have gone 0-for so far.

Boston College Eagles vs. 5 Virginia Tech Hokies

These two teams have battled for ACC supremacy over the last couple of years and we may be getting a ACCCG preview this week. BC has finally found an offense in 25-year old QB Shinskie, who will undoubtedly be facing its toughest defense yet in VT. Tyrod Taylor has done enough to keep VT winning, but BC is no sloudh on defense either.

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Tennessee Volunteers

The VOls defense has looked good this year but the offense has struggled mightily. Georgia is coming off a great game against LSU in which they lost in the final seconds at home. Tennessee will have to find a way to score if they want a fleeting chance in this game.

3 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. 20 Mississippi Rebels

Ole Miss may have been ranked to high early in the season and facing a really good Alabama team may not help their chances of proving the pollsters right. Alabama has gotten steller play from their young QB McElroy and Rb duo in Engram and Richardson. Match that with a top 5 defense and you have a potential powerhouse. As long as the Tide does not look too far ahead to their potential SECCG with Florida, they may run the table and with ease.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes

Wisconsin has done its part this season: win, even if not all of them were pretty. They will get a chance to measure their 5-0 record against a rolling OSU team who seems to be on a path of vengeance since losing to USC at home.

Connecticut Huskies vs. Pittsburgh Panthers

A critical Big east matchup that boasts two 1-loss trams (both lost to ACC teams). Pitt is already 1-0 after defeating UL and they hope to add to that by taking out UConn. As of right now, USF looks very tough and WVU is still in the mix, as they are all looking up at Cincy and will need to keep pace.

Stanford Cardinal vs. Oregon State Beavers

Stanford is off to their best start since 1999, the same year they went to the Rose Bowl. OSU is off to their usual slow start, which they then go onto to lok nearly unbeatable. Stanford;s only away game yielded a loss this year to a mediocre WF team, in which they fell apart in the 2nd half. Gerhart and company are going up against a physical defense in OSU which matches up well against power formation teams like Stanford. The Pac-10 is wide open so every game is a crapshoot so far.

22 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Florida State Seminoles

FSU is off to their worst start since 1976, Bowden's first year at FSU. Both teams have been a bit Jekyl & Hyde this year and who knows which team will show up in this game. FSU's pass defense has been suspect to say the least, but GT will run and run and runs and run some more in the triple option offense. If FSU can force Nesbit to throw and GT can force FSU to run, this game could be a low scoring affair.

GAME OF THE WEEK

1 Florida Gators vs. 4 LSU Tigers

Is LSU for real? Will Tebow play? Can Florida be as productive if he doesn't? Could this be a preview of the SECCG? Lots of question looked to be answered in this game and who knows what could happen. LSU is 32-0 @ home in night games...which puts Florida at a slight disadvantage. But if Tebow is under center, anything can happen and that streak could definitely be in jeopardy.

No way Ole Miss wins this game...I feel that Alabama is one of the very few true powerhouse teams this year. Ole Miss is faking it and will win 7 games at the most this year.

If Tebow is out, LSu has a good chance of winning.

tebows back practicing, so i expect him to play sat.

i dont see how these rankings reflect were a team is over the past couple of weeks. you had ole miss being ranked high, cal being ranked high, and lsu being rank high.

alot of these teams dont deserve to be ranked so high. i have my doubts that alot of these teams are bcs caliber teams this year. ohio state will always suck in a bowl game. i dont care what they do in the big 10.

i have a lvoe hate relationship with college football. i love it cuz its exciting to watch, but alot of teams arent bcs material.

I didn't rank any of these teams. These are the AP rankings. I have no say in the AP.

Mizzou is playing well right now with Gabbert, but Nebraska's D has been very good this year (even though they have only payed ONE real team in VT, who has crappy offense). In all honesty, I have yet to see Nebraska play, but I have seen Mizzou play and their defense will always be suspect..i just dont know if Nebraska has the offense to exploit it. It is @ Mizzou, so the advantage has to go to the Tigers. Ill give them an edge at 31-28.

its supposed to rain tonight, with Roy helu supposedly 100%, NU should control the ball game, they carved up the hokies on the ground and they pose a much better defensive threat than the tigers do. no turnovers and a big play or 2 from zac lee and the huskers win 31-21.

Have you been reading ESPN???

j/k

I was gonna pick Nebraska, but the spread offense is going to cause all kinds of problems for the Cornhusker defense, as they have yet to see a fast paced, efficient offense this year like the Tigers run. Dont forget about Derrick Washington, who is still a threat as a runner and a receiver.

damn im way better than mel kiper jr....
the only problem i see is gabbert throwin some ducks in the rain with the wet ball...and Pelinni has the blackshirts back, i know they have only played a few sun belt teams and a inconsistent hokie squad but they are DOMINATING on "D".
