No. 22 Michigan at Michigan State
Rivalry game in which the winner receives the Paul Bunyan trophy. MSU won last year, but this is a different UM team and MSU has struggled a bit this year. UM leads the all time series 34-20-2.
Wisconsin at Minnesota
ANother rivalry that has a Paul Bunyan trophy, although this one is an Axe. Both teams have played well so far this season, although neither have been overly impressive. Wisconsin had to go to OT with 1-win FSU at home to beat them, while Minnesota had to go to OT to beat Syracuse.
No. 4 LSU at No. 18 Georgia
LSU narrowly escaped Miss St last week, stopping them 3 times inside the one. UGA beat out an unknown ASU team at home by 3. LSU has looked vulnerable against UW and MSU, and Joe Cox has the UGA offense firing. This could the be the next top 5 team to go down.
UCLA at Stanford
UCLA is undefeated and Stanford boasts only one loss coming into this game. UCLA's defense is looking very dominant once again, and Stanford has a young QB in Luck who is managing the offense very well. Of course, it doesn't hurt when yo have the 2nd leading rusher in the nation in Gerhart and a WR that has taken 3 KR's back for a TD already this season. UCLA will start Craft, as Prince is nursing a broken jaw.
Florida State at Boston College
FSU has been the Jelyl & Hyde this season, barely beating JSU, but thoroughly thrashing BYU on the road. BC is 3-1 at the moment, with a win in OT against WF last week. Depending on which FSu team shows up, this could a be a close one or a blow out.
No. 9 Ohio State at Indiana
Indiana's only loss is to UM, which occurred last week on a controversial play. OSU is no UM right now, and Indiana could be in for a curb stomping. However, it is a home game and who knows...maybe the offense can do what it did last week and shock the nation.
No. 25 Georgia Tech at Mississippi State
GT has looked inconsistent this year, one looking like the option is done, and another gashing through defenses. MSU nearly upset LSU last week and get this game at home.
Colorado State at Idaho
Why is this in here? CSU has been playing gritty and Idaho is 3-1, with their only loss coming to UW. Both offenses are playing well, its the defense that is going to make or break this game. This game could be the most exciting to watch if your into two welterweights beating the crap out of each other.
GAME(S) OF THE WEEK
No. 8 Oklahoma at No. 17 Miami (FL)
This game reminds me of the old days of CFB, back in the 80's and early 90's. Miami went up against a top tier defense last week and got exposed. Jacorry Harris looked human and the defense could not stop an above average VT defense. Oklahoma is still without Bradford, but boast a good defense and still has Demarco Murray in the backfield. OU's defense has only allowed 14 points this year in 3 games.
No. 7 USC at No. 24 California
Whatever happened to Cal last week can not be repeated if they want to stay in the Pac-10 race. USC looked a bit "off" last week against bottom feeder WSU, only winning by 19 points and didn't score in the last 2 1/2 quarters. Barkley is back, but Staffon Johnson is out after the weightlifting accident. Riley is going to have to step up, as the USC rushing defense is stout. Neither team can afford to take another loss in conference play.
