Fresno State at No. 14 Cincinnati

FSu has been in both games they have lost, down to the wire. If they can find a way to finish a game, they may actually win a game. Cincy may have gotten a bit lucky at OSU this last week, with a fumble not being called becuase forward progress was apparently stopped. This isn't to say they aren't a good team, as Tony Pike may sneak up some Heisman charts if he continues his strong play and winning capability.

South Florida at No. 18 Florida State

Which FSU team will show up? The lethargic, uninspired one that nearly lost to an FCS team? Or the high powered, athletic one that showed up last week against then #7 BYU team. USF has lost their leader Grothe for the season, so winning in Doak Campbell stadium just got that much tougher.

No. 22 North Carolina at Georgia Tech

If teams really have figured out the triple option, GT is in trouble. UNC has been shaky to say the least thus far this season, and if not careful, will be punched out of the top 25. This is a crucial ACC Coastal match up, as GT is already 1-1 in the division.

Michigan State at Wisconsin

MSU has been in both games they have lost, mainly becuase they fell victim to itself against both CMU and ND. UW is 3-0, but really, are two plays away from being 1-2 themselves. This is the first Big 10 game for both, and if either is looking to thwart tOSU, they need to start with one another.

Arkansas at No. 3 Alabama

Arkansas will be the highest octane offense Alabama has seen yet. They put up a ton of points against UGA, a team that boasts about their defense. This is good news for UA, and possibly bad news for Alabama. Are they worth a #4 ranking?

No. 6 California at Oregon

It seems that Oregon has found their legs, pun intended. LaMichael James has been running. However, the real key is Masoli. He has made some real bone headed mistakes so far, but his looked brilliant in flashes. If Oregon is to succeed, they need Masoli to be consistent. Meanwhile, Cal looked somewhat shaky last week at Minnesota, and the game was close into the 4th quarter. Best ran for 131 yds and 5 TD's, but he only had 20 yds on 13 carries in the 2nd half.

No. 15 TCU at Clemson

It is hard to get a feel for Clemson, as they have looked good at times, and stagnant at others. They do have a good defense, and will need to flex it against TCU, who has only beat a really bad team and a FCS team, which Clemson is neither of. As of right now, its between BSU and TCU for the race to a at-large birth from a non-AQ conference team.

No. 1 Florida at Kentucky

Why is this here? Because Florida only put up 23 points against Tennessee and are away from the Swamp this week. This doesnt mean the Gators will lose, but they may not have a chink in the undefeated armor that others team can exploit. Urban Meyer swears his team had the flu this last week, but it seems he might have downplayed the much-closer-win against Lane.

Colorado State at No. 19 Brigham Young

BYU got demolished last week, and a re-surged CSU will try and come in and to the same. CSU does not have the athletes FSU has, but they are gritty and will need to get to Max Hall to stop his air attack.

Arizona State at No. 21 Georgia

Georgia's defense gave up a lot of points last week, which gives ASU some hope, who some believe is a sleeper team in the Pac. They have not played anyone of real valor yet, so this will be ASU's first test...and on the road as well.

Arizona at Oregon State

OSU has lost two tough games in a row, while UA got put in check in Iowa. Arizona has lost their star TE for the year and there QB job is up for grabs at the moment, with Foles getting the nod over Scott this week. OSU gets 60% of their offensive output from the Rodgers brother, which is a blessing and a curse. Canfield will need to make better decisions and better throws until Maeveo can get back into the lineup if they want to stay afloat.

Iowa at No. 5 Penn State

PSu hasn't looked super impressive this year and Iowa will be looking to knock them off once again and ruin their NC chances. After looking rough against NIU, Iowa has gotten back to form and want to get a leg up in Big 10 play.

No. 24 Washington at Stanford

UW is ranked for the first time in 6 years after they knocked off a Mays and Barkley-less USC team. Sarkisian has them playing with confidence and the talent that Willingham couldn't coach, is showing up. This will be their first game on the road in 2009 and Stanford has put up some good numbers against a really bad WSU team and always crappy SJSU team. They lost on the road to a struggling WF team, where they were shut down in the 2nd half and couldn't stop the run. Both are 1-0 in Pac play.

Texas Tech at No. 17 Houston

This has the potential to be a combined 100+ point game when Potts and Keenum go toe-to-toe. This two offense can score TTU could really use a bounc back game against UT, which was much closer than some expected. Houston has had a week off after beating OSU to get into the top 25.

GAME OF THE WEEK

No. 9 Miami (FL) at No. 11 Virginia Tech

Miami has to be the surprise of the year so far, with Jacorry Harris shooting up the Heisman ranks with his performances so far. They have taken out two ranked teams in the first two games, and have two more ranked teams to play (VT, Oklahoma). VT has a great defense, but the offense has looked anything but good against the two teams that were actually good on their schedule. Tyrod is lethal if he can get his passing game going, but that has proven to be difficult so far. This will be the best defense Jacorry has seen thus far. This is a vital Coastal game for both.

The Cal and Oregon game should be a good one. I wouldn't mind watching that game. But I won't be able to watch that one or the Huskies game.

Yes, I agree with you Trib. Michigan is very very VERY underatted. To be one of the top teams in NCAAF history dont you think we should be...well...alittle more respected than we already are? I guess its Lloyd carr...
