No. 23 South Florida at Cincinnati

As of right now, the Big East really is anyone’s take, excluding Syracuse. No USF has 2 loses, but there is a lot of Big East football to be played, and they will have to start by beating the Bearcats on the road.

West Virginia at No. 25 Connecticut

Again, Big East pretty much wide open. WVU is the only team that has not lost in Big East play….yet.

Miami (FL) at Virginia

UVA has risen from the dead to lead the Coastal division, this all happening once Peerman came back to the line-up. Miami is still very young and may be a year or two away from being in UVA’s position now.

Kansas State at Kansas

Besides a rivalry game, not much else going on here. Kansas has proved that they are not quite ready for the big games and KSU is a few big plays away from having a better record.

No. 18 Tulsa at Arkansas

Tulsa is an at-large candidate and beating Arkansas (even though they stink this year) is a big stride towards the at-large bid to a BCS bowl. Tulsa is scoring a ridiculous 55 points a game and has one of the most efficient passer in the nation in David Johnson. The more points Tulsa can score on
Arkansas, the better it will look for them in the upcoming BCS standings.

No. 15 Florida State at Georgia Tech

These two ACC foes are in different divisions, but with BCS implications, every game will count no matter what. FSU has stayed in the top 25 for the longest duration since WF dropped out for the ACC. GT has a great defense and runs the option. It will be up to the FSU defense to slow it down and continue to improve on offense with Ponder at the helm.

Washington at No. 5 USC

If USC wants a crack at the NCG game, they have to not only win out, but win BIG. Last week, they barely got by AZ and it cost them a spot in the BCS rankings. UW has still yet to win a game and is one of 3rd worst offensive scoring team and last in many defensive stats, which should allow USC to run up the score at HOME.

No. 11 Boise State at New Mexico State

Just like Tulsa, every game means much more for mid-majors than that of a BCS team. They just need to simply win and hope the other mid-majors in front of them falter somewhere.

No. 13 TCU at UNLV

Again, just like BSU and Tulsa, TCU needs to hang on. With BYU out of the way, Utah is on the horizon and they can not overlook the Runnin’ Rebels and possibly trip up.

Tulane at No. 19 LSU

This is a rivalry game and the only reason this game is even on this list. Battle for the Rag is the name of the game, and Tulane has not beaten LSU since 1982. But, you never know, right?

No. 10 Utah at New Mexico

Same scenario as the other mid-majors…hang on and hope you win out.

GAME OF THE WEEK

No. 8 Florida at No. 6 Georgia

Labeled as the “The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party”, this game has been played 85 times. The game is played on a neutral site, with each team switching home team affiliation each year. This game is huge, and even more so this year, as the implications are huge. The winner of this game will be the representative in the SCCG at the end of the year for the Eastern division, and possibly a trip to the NCG. Last year’s excessive celebration by the Bulldogs is still steaming in the Florida locker room, and will only add fuel to the fire.

No. 1 Texas at No. 7 Texas Tech

For the second week in a row, Texas has to face a top 10 opponent, but this time away from the comforts of their home field. TTU has been somewhat of a surprise for most and some feel they do not belong this high in the rankings. The combo of Harrell and Crabtree has been potent, even though Crabtree has exceeded 100 yds only once in the last 4 games (he has scored 8 TD’s in the span, however). Colt McCoy leads the nation in passing efficiency, completing a ridiculous 82% of his passes.

I honeslty think so to. They are in full gear and are rollin right now. That loss to Ole Miss really lit a fire under their asses.
The things we were lacking before that game (offensive line consistancy, a running game, and defense) have all stepped up. We're getting a starting senior guard back for this game, and with the way this running attack (with Moody, Rainey, Demps, Harvin, and Tebow) has been performing, it's going to be a real test for Georgia. I almost feel bad that Brandon James and Kestahn Moore aren't getting the ball more. LOL. But with 6 players with a min. of 10 carries all averaging more than 4 ypc, it's actually difficult spreading the ball around. We also need to get the ball through the air to Murphy and Hernandez, to keep the defense honest. If Tebow plays the way he has the past few weeks, making good decisions and remaining calm, we should be fine.

Obviously, stopping Moreno is going to be a huge task, but Stafford is going to be the big test for the Gators' secondary, which has given up big plays this year.

Go Gators.

I would have to say this game ranks higher than USC/ND '06 on my very short list of watched college football games. Just crazy how Texas came all the way back, to only have Texas Tech close it out at the end.
