theres this album i want..its nothing really sought after..underground chicano shit..but i came across a couple og copies...

they are both used and heres my dilemma....

do i get the one that has visible scratches that "do not affect play" for 35$

or do i get the one in like new condition for 15$ but has the previous owners initials written on the back of the insert and on the disc?

I'd get the one with visible scratches, listen to it once to make sure it plays flawlessly, put it on the IPod, and then put it away so it doesn't get scratched any more. I would never want anything with someone elses name on it, no matter how rare it is.

You might be able to remove the initials with nail polish remover. I've done that with a couple of CDs, with great success, but I have never tried it on an insert. It might damage the insert...

you should get the one with visible scratches and there are some used cd stores at least where I live that can professionally resurface and the cds look just like new. Here it only costs like 2 bucks.

you might get a cheap well functioning resurface kit yourself. I've seen a lot of them on ebay. don't know how good they are but you might have more CDs with a couple of scratches. I guess it's smart to test such a kit on a worthless scratched CD....
