alright ive collected unemployment a few times before but this time they sent me some bullshit sayin that my last employer is fightin it...

check it out.. on the application for unemployment i put that i was laid for the summer because i worked in an afterschool program and it was summer time... in reality i got fired 4 days before the school year was out because they had warned me about my backround and then they found out I got arrested again... but when I went to court the DA didnt file charges so wtf... you feel me i thought its innocent till proven guilty how can i get fired for a crime that i was never convicted of??? well now Im set up for a telephone interview on monday and i gotta explain all this.. what do you think my chances are? all i know is i gotta use my mouthpiece cuz this is a matter of quite a bit of money I'll be gettin back to back checks if they approve me... any thoughts or suggestions or past experience wit shit like this????

Stop collecting now. You gotta pay it all back.

I got stuck for 4 g's on the same subject.

The only fighting chance you have is if you DID NOT sign anything when you were terminated. If you did, they will tie that shit to admitting wrong doing or guilt. You are only entitled to unemployment if you were laid off or unable to perform the duties of the job.

Good luck though. I know how you feel. You will feel even shittier when you get the final verdict.

thing is they haven't even sent me the first check yet so i wont have to pay nothin back for sure..but i went thru a situation like where i actually quit the job but i kept arguin it and i got my money.... oh and suprisingly enough when i got fired i didnt sign nothin i was waitin for it but i was like "thats it i dont have to sign nothing or any paperwork or anything" and they said no and i bounced... its a 50/50 shot but im hopin for it cuz im runnin low of bread for real

ok, well then you may have a chance. Just keep fighting it.

Good luck. Stick it to em. I hate employers that fire people and then try to fight unemployment. I mean fuck! Give someone a break! They are ruthless.

I heard the employers have to pay higher unemployment rates to the state if they get alot of unemployment claims.

I unno.

I had the same thing happen a few years ago (I went to jail though), BUT! I (amongst a bunch of us) were taken to court with a couple of local high profile cases.

Here's the kicker: When they put the T.V. camera on them fools my fat ass was in the back ground and my boss happened to be watching the news that night.

Well, my so called emergency flight to Texas (the story my cousin gave my boss) was out.

...but back to your situation, you might end up losing this one Homie, but none the less: Best of Luck 2 ya.

thats not true at all^ if you quit you get no unemployment (most the time). it depends on the reason why you got fired. in thread starters case hes fucked, school job i'm assuming its a gov type position he lied on his application about his record and they found out. = no severance. if the causes for getting fired have anything to do with misconduct, dishonesty, stealing etc dont expect shit. hope you have better refrences homie, might try to start hawking that hot sauce you were talking about in the other thread

Yea they called me today and I woke up all hung over like "helllooo" in a half dead ass voice.. he asked my name and i said yeah all he said was like "well you were expecting a call from us today but don't worry about it" I'm like wtf u mean don't worry about it am i gettin a check or what? and he said my check should be in the mail... he said that my employer put background check and then put i was laid off... since they said laid off instead of terminated there is nothing to debate... im gettin my paper boy should be gettin like 4 bills in the next few days....... Im'a flip that money too thats my new job now thats ambition
