They are back but from what reports show they are going to be an online retailer only. The company that bought them, "Systemax" also owns Tigerdirect.com and has plans to shape the company towards that direction it seems like. It doesnt look like the retails stores will reopen. I could be wrong..

FUCK BEST BUY!
I miss Circuit City.
I payed almost 2 racks for my car audio system an instalation an the bitches at Best Buy fucked my shit up so bad.
Shit dont even knock like it should.
All my by 9's blew out.
The beat cuts out when I turn it too loud.
An I cant use the air conditioner or heater when slappin cause all I hear is the music beat an a LOUD ASS BUZZ comin out my speakers!
Them suckas dont know shit bout what they doin.
NEVER EVER had a problem when I fucked with Circuit City though an I had them install numerous shit in 5 of my past whips.
Ill never ever fuck with Best Buy again even for a fuckin 12.99 CD on my mamma.

I always liked Circuit City too. I would have never thought Best Buy would come on top. I always thought the name "Best Buy" and simple logo looked kinda cheap and generic, like a Best Lots or some shit. Guess I was wrong.

There is a chance the retail stores could open back up....there are a handful of CompUSA's on the eastcoast and south now. Systemax owns it as well.

your first mistake was going here to get your shit done lol. I remember back in the day I went here to have them adjust my gains on my sub amp cause it was off a bit. I didnt have a screw driver bit or i would have done it myself. The dude in the shop said he would be happy to help and when i popped the trunk and went to turn the system so he could adjust the gains, he straight told me to turn it off!! I was like what!?!? He said so it doesnt disrupt the customers inside the way they were tought to adjust the gains was by turning the gains a little but then turning the system on to see if you like it. If you dont like it then turn the system back off and tweak the gains some more. I was laughing so hard at this. Anyone who has done car audio knows you make your adjustments to the gains while the subs and highs are going so you can determine peak point right before the subs start to distort as well as SQ. You cant really do that when there off lol. Circuit City people dont know shit! I remember a friend going their and telling me he asked them to wire his subs to 1ohm and they would not do it claiming 4ohms is the manufactured recommended wiring.
