According to prowrestling.net, Chris Kanyon (real name Christopher Klucsartis) was found dead from an apparent suicide on Friday night. Details are still sketchy at this point, but it is believed that he was in New York at the time of his death. A longtime friend reports that a pill bottle and several notes were found close to the body.

Kanyon also worked as the masked Mortis character in WCW and also had a run with WWE during the Invasion period. He made headlines after his WWE run concluded by going public with his homosexuality. He appeared on the Howard Stern radio show several times as a result of his admission. Even though he retired from wresting at one point, he had returned to the ring again recently and had worked a couple of matches this year.

I was screaming at Undertaker to put Kanyon through a table when Taker was getting those crate gifts (this was the week after he re-met up with Brother Love) and they worked a spot where Taker put Kanyon through the announce table. Thanks Kanyon

yeah at one point he was saying that because he was gay he got fired from WWE which is complete bullshit.


He also used his gayness as a wrestling gimmick after getting fired from WWE and working the indie scene

saw that one coming. i remember a while back he was stern complaining about how vinnie mac fired cuz he was gay. then ric flair called him and told him it was because he couldn't wrestle and had no charisma. he looked like he was about to cry.

the best thing he did was make a bet with artie lange about the met's and the world series. artie lost and had to make out with Blue Iris. RIP kanyon
