CHP Busts U-Haul Loaded With Marijuana
Caravan Of Vehicles Stopped On Highway 99

MODESTO, Calif. -- The California Highway Patrol busted a caravan of vehicles that authorities said were carrying $1 million worth of marijuana Sunday night.
Authorities got a tip that several vehicles crowded with people were traveling south on Highway 99 through Stanislaus County. Among the vehicles was a 20-foot U-Haul truck.
One by one, officers stopped the vehicles and discovered 2,000 pounds of marijuana in the back of the U-Haul truck. The pot was stuffed into bags and boxes.
"This is the largest seizure I've seen out of a traffic stop," CHP spokesman Tom Killian said.
CHP officials said 15 people are facing a variety of drug trafficking charges.
Caught this last night watching the news. Thats a whole lotta bud down the drain.....
