Chopping and Sampling...

Aiight...as of right now, Im using Cool Edit Pro for my recording. I need to know how do you chop a certain part of a song. Like a hook or a part of a verse. And also...how do you sample parts of a song. Say for instance, if I want to sample a small line in a song, how would I do that.

set a loop point and slice out the parts you want, not much to it. set it to loop and if it flows back into the starting loop point well then you have a good chop if you are trying to just loop something to make a beat.

if u got acid, you can do it in there,, thats what i use now that i learned to use it, set the grid spacing to like 8th notes or 16th notes, then just shortin the sides til you got the part u need, then the piece you made, copy and paste it untill its long enough
