Even as a kid I never believed in the regular 9 to 5 lifestyle (still don't). I guess that's been a problem with my attitude towards a lot of things. As a kid I always liked reading & writing. I wasn't some nerd or nothin', I hung out with the Homies and talked plenty of shit, but on spare time I did write a lot. Teachers in high school would call me "The Future Author."

I always dreamed of writing a script to a movie or working in some type of entertainment field. I've despised every 9 to 5 I've ever had and everytime I've been laid off (which has been plenty), I've always thought..."Fuck it, this gives me more time to do what I really want to do and follow my dream at 100%."

If it's truly your dream (within reason), keep going after it!

Actually to give you a more inside look at what I did...I loved writing so much I wrote 3 books in high school (300 plus pages on binder paper...long hand), passed my english class with flying colors LOL!!!!

One of the books I turned into a script (as best I could...not really knowing) and was determined to flim it. Being that these are a bunch small towns in these areas I was going to shoot the movie in every town and make it look like it was one big city LOL!!!!

It never happened though (couldn't get people to act), when it comes to dreams you find out most people don't share em' with you.

I still have the books & script though...I still think it's not too bad and maybe go for it again someday.
