I used to play. Learn the board, learn gambits, openings, end game, traps, etc. Also, it's good to memorize entire games. My memory no longer works as good as it used to so I gave the game up. I hardly play videogames now too, backlog exceeds 30 titles now, and I'm reduced to shit like candy crush or fruit ninja.

The mighty have fallen...

I used to be way into it. Was actually part of a Jr. chess team and entered competitions. Dropped the whole competition chess, classes, etc. around jr high. Kept playing throughout my life, although at this point I haven't played in years.

I remember when I was first able to play online, I would beat players all across the US. Then get smoked by some 9 year old in Russia or Romania. These Eastern European's are really good.

I'll usually do pick up games at instantchess.com

Chess is the best "game" ever created, hands down. It feels like it's dying though, almost no one I know really plays on the regular. I used to play on my phone every day but the last update on the app I was using messed it up and it freezes after every couple of games for almost a full day. I need a new phone.

How Many People Play On Chess.com Or X1? What Is Your Favorite Opening? What Is The Stronger Piece To You, Knight Or Bishop?

I Use Semi-Opening Games, And Don't Like People Who Like Using Their Knight Before Their Bishop. The Knight I Believed Should Be Played Like A Person Who Has An Unseen Dagger, And The Bishop A Wielding Sword But With Caution Due To Longer Strikes Of Leaving Yourself Out There Alone.
