I MADE A POST AT THE MURDER DOG MAGAZINE BOARD ABOUT AN IDEA THAT I HAD...I ASKED THEM IF THEY WOULD EVER CONSIDER DOIN A COVER/ARTICLE ON THE NORTENO RAP SCENE...I FEEL THAT THERE'S A LOT OF TALENT COMING OUT OF NORTHERN CALI AND I THINK IT'S TIME IT GETS HEARD BY A BIGGER AUDIENCE...

IF YOU GOT A MIN...HOP OVER THE THE MURDER DOG MAGAZINE BOARD AND POST UP SOME SUPPORT FOR THE IDEA IF YOU FEELIN IT...BUT PLEASE!!! PLEASE DON'T RUN OFF AND START SAYIN NORTE THIS AND NORTE THAT AND SCRAP THIS....THAT SHIT WILL KILL IT BEFORE IT WOULD'VE EVER GOT STARTED!!! JUST LEND SOME SUPPORT FOR THE IDEA AND GIVE SOME NAMES OF WHO YOU FEEL SHOULD REPRESENT THE NORTHERN CALI CHICANO RAP SCENE IF THEY EVER DECIDED TO DO AN ARTICLE....LET'S SHOW THEM THAT THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WOULD WANNA SEE SOMETHIN LIKE THAT GO DOWN IN THEIR MAG..

Damn good idea..I'll keep it short, sweet, & on point over in that forum sos not to oopsidentally turn it into a North vs South thang for no reason. It'd be coo to see any of the Northern Expozure doods or actually ANY Northerners on their cover for a change.

Anyways, on this forum here I am curious.
How come there are no real successful female Northerner gangsta rappers or divas? How come we don't have a Northerner "Lil Bow Wow?"
How come we don't have our own modern smooth pimping music? There aren't even any real representative movies out there, even though there's tons of "Boys in the Hood" and "Friday" types.
A lot of people think every Mexican with heart is gonna sound like Ricky Martin or some shit, or gotta be like Christina Aguilera to sound Latina. People gotta be bored enough with that by now and looking for the new things that havent been done.

Northerners are going to look brand new on a wide open global audeince, and don't look like all those other rap look-alikes. I hope to see all the musical variations Northerners are able to represent to the fullest, cuz it can only futher interest in the whole culture and therefore in other Northern artists. My Mom was even saying she'd consider buying Norteno music for my little brothers and sisters if only it were G rated Christian like popular Christian rock (not church music itself, but rock songs with Christian attitudes)-- many Northerners are already coming from Christian backgrounds, so I would have thought more artists like that ought to be easy to find but they really aren't. Are there any Northern artists coming up like any of those? Tupac was good at putting songs out for lots of different types of buyers, but I don't see a lot of Northerners even trying to write a few non-controversial songs just for radio airplay.

I know a lot of people don't want to put out a PG rated or less than hard-core song at all, but there still gonna be a market for it for those people who are lookin for something Northern related but still family rated. I don't want to see our kids loving the Backstreet Boys and Lil Bow Wow without any Northerners represented at all for Northern kids (though Haystack got a coo song to his Grandma that my kids like a lot.) :cool:




Anyways...Merry Christmas people. Please keep each other safe, share what you can, and even if it's not a lot, be glad for what you got.
