just saw a commercial for this. even though Johnny Depp is in it still looks pretty fucking lame. it's possible that it could be tight but why the fuck do they insist on remaking or dropping sequels to old school classics? so many god damn stories you can make into a movie and they continue to rape classics.

It isnt a remake of the old Willy Wonka movie with Gene Wilder, it is a remake of the book.

The movie is supposed to be different from the old movie. The new movie is based more on the original book, while the older film went away from the real story. Willy Wonka was made a more fun and wacky charactor while in the book he was a lot darker and a bit of an asshole, which Johnny Depp will be playing.

are you sure? the little kid in the first movie that actually took over the chocolate factory was named Charlie. i thought this was a follow up of how Charlie is running the chocolate factory now.

^^not true the new sadlot was way better than the 3rd installment of the neverending story. Talk about LAME. The first one was coo and it was made longer back while as the 3rd movie was made more recent yet in the 3rd movie valcore has strings when they are supposdly flying you can fuckin see the strings and it looks like all they had was a damn leaf blower blowin leafs in the air to make it seem like they were flyin.

the book is called charlie and the chocalate factory. for some reason they called the first movie willie wonka and the chocolate factory. does that make a little more sense to you now?

the first movie was a freakin classic... BUT this movie is gonna be f'in dope. Tim burton is stickin to the actual book and not fuck it up like the original producer. Roald Dalh was pissed that the producer made it into a happy, musical, which is what its not about. And you know Tim Burton is not that, ie. The nightmare before christmas, beetlejuice, edward scissorhand, etc. Can't wait for this.

Yeah I am looking forward to this movie alot. Although I really liked the first one, I always liked the book alot more. I swear I read that book atleast once a year...classic.

Should be one of the better movies this year.....

damn i didnt know that. when i first saw the commercial i thought wtf. why? but it should be interesting to see how different it will be.
