Police in Queens, New York are hunting for the killer of Gerard "DO Cannon" Fields, a rapper who recently signed with Murder Inc.

Cannon, 26, was shot twice in the chest and once in the leg in Jamaica, not far from the recording studio where Jam Master Jay was gunned down.

Cannon was gunned down just before midnight yesterday.

Authorities said they are investigating Cannon's murder and the murder of a man on Monday who is linked to 50 Cent.

There are no suspects in either case as of press time.
