happy fuccing thanksgiving to me. i get in my car go to turn it over and hear a loud pop. followed by smoke and the car is dead when i try the ignitian again. i get out to look under the hood and shit is leaking savagely. i open the hood and the battery has exploded?! acid is sprayed onto the hood and is leaking under the car. i look under the stearing column and i think what is the ground wire is disconnected. the battery is pretty old.

any1 ever heard of this, happen to them? think it will be expensive. should i just get a new battery and if it works say fucc it? or should i take it to the shop any way. it is a 87 ford tempo.

Best thing to do is take it to the shop. Have it checked out, if everything is cool, then buy a new battery. Fuck it dog, U better off with a new ride, less headaches and troubles.

Sounds like you might have a bad short, getting a new battery might result in the same damn problem. If you know anything about electronics you can try to find the problem, but most likely it'd be best to take it to a shop and have them check for broken wires and shit (it'd probably be a waste of money/effort on your car but still might be cheaper then getting a new car)... Best of luck on that

yeah check the connectors and see if there corroded...maybe replace them...its cheap

tempo's and taurus's is known for problems though...but you prolly had an old battery and it just couldnt take it anymore....go drop $50 on a new battery...

yeah, get a new battery and take that shit to get a diagnostic. those are like $50, but they should be able to tell you what's wrong wit it.

i had a battery that went out on me before when i was starting it. it didn't explode, but when i looked at it the top of it was kinda warped like it had melted a lil bit. i jus replaced it and it was all good.
