dissapointed in this album, its pretty weak, first 2 tracks had me all excited then the rest of the album let me down...its just not what i expected to hear, wanted him to come out hard and rip shit up but this album definitly has a lighter tone as far as canibus albums go. the one thing i have always liked about his albums is the lack of hooks,he usually just rips through the whole beat with maybe a couple secs of some sample or something.but on mind control there are a bunch of weak hooks that just dont fit. the production lacks also, not impressed at all with the overall feel of this album.im sure the more i listen to it i might except it a little more but i wanted to hear some mic club/2000 bc/rip the jacker shit and i didnt get that

this is all old material outside of one or two tracks...his real solo drops later this year. I am a huge Bis fan, but I must agree with Gutterson III to a certain extent...although I do like plenty of his material dropped on previous albums, I must agree that his albums will never meet or exceed his lyrical ability.

i didnt say canibus was wack...i said this album was weak.

i agree with unkut...rip the jacker is proof enough that he can put out a sick album and do more than battle.poet leaureate II alone shows everything he can offer, lyrics, delivery, flow, anything you can ask for.i thought his writing on that album was dope, stepped up his vocab and really gave his tracks more content

besides of course he can write, wasnt the knock on him that all his battle/freestyle raps were written anyway?

if you've heard some of his best material I just can't see how anyone could not appreciate this monster on the mic??? I have at least 50-100 tracks and freestyles that just blow my mind there so rediculous.

I agree with SiccFucc & unkut that Rip the Jacker was a pretty solid solo effort and that was his last solo dropped and would suspect that his upcoming release will be even better.
