Can you download Japanese games on the Wii Virtual Console?

I'm about to copp a Wii real soon, mainly for the Virtual Console. I plan on downloading hella old skool games. And there's a lot of Japanese titles that I want to get that never made it to the states. So I'm asking the Wii owners here...is this possible?

I'm mainly interested in games from the Famicom, Super Famicom, Megadrive, Neo Geo, PC Engine Duo and the Saturn.

They have Neo Geo on the VC. However, I don't know about the others.

some japanese only games are available, like sin and punishment for the n64. So in the future theres a possibility for more japanese games being released on the VC

Virtual Console is an online store on the Wii. You just buy them through that.

theres fatal fury and king of fighters 94 right now and world heroes, the entire neo geo library will be released eventually, there werent many games for it anyway
