my mom found one of those droid eris phones about 2 months ago.She gave it to me so i put it on craigslist. Its for verizon and i have t mobile so it was useless to me. Some kid was like ill give u a G1 and 50 bucks for it so i said yeah went to frisco and traded. Now 2 weeks later hes talkin about he sold it on craigslist and the phone was reported lost stolen and the person he sold it to sent it back to its owner. this Kid is shit outta luck with nuthin and is comin at me talkin about hes gonna holla at the police unless i kick him down 150.
can i get hemped for some shit like this bein on probation.

well the phone you sold him couldn't be used because it was reported lost. if it was a gsm phone like ATT or Tmobile the lost phone could still be used by whoever finds it if the phone is unlocked or you got the same carrier.

but in your situation its really the kids bad for buying something that's not usable. and slightly shady on your part for selling something that's not usable. I dont think you gonna get in trouble with the cops though because people lose phones all the time and then people find them.

while I agree and this is common sense, if it were really reported as stolen then a crime was commited. if you have something in your posseion thats reported stolen you are liable. And even worse selling it makes it even more of a crime
