Can someone tell me what Macromedia Foreworks does (is it better tha adobe?)

Ayo i came across someone on a diff board and they told me I should get a program called Fireworks by Macromedia it is spose to be better than adobe does anyone know of this program plz help me.......

Yo fireworks is best suited for .. drawing menus, logos, buttons.. etc.. its like macromedias version of adobe illustrator... it specializes in vector graphics... it is especially useful if your gonna draw images then import them into flash.

Simply put.. Fireworks is best for starting projects from scratch.. but if your gonna take photos or images off the net then alter them.. stick with Photoshop.
