 I need some help with this and was wondering if someone could clear it up. When nick berg was beheaded they blamed a certain "terrorist". months before he was beheaded they said that same terrorist died in an explosion and could not have escaped due to his prostetic (check spelling) leg. 2-0-6 made a post about it.

When another american was killed they blamed a "terrorist" but said he died while disposing of the body. Didn't they say he was the same guy who killed the korean?

can someone *clarify* who is killing who and who chopped who's head off? I no longer know (and care little actually) but i would like to know.

thanks for all help and info.

The Terrorist generally considered to be responsible for the beheading as well as a major part of the insurgency is Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi. He did lose his leg in a U.S. Missile strike, but he was treated in Iraq in a hospital run by a son of Saddam. The Americans might have claimed he was dead after the strike, but apparently he re-emerged with only a leg injury, thus the wooden leg.

From CNN: The group -- which calls itself "Islamic Response," the security wing of the Islamic Resistance of Iraq.

I don't know if it is the same group that has done every beheading, but they are all being publicized through Al-Jazeera.

As for the allegations towards the "terrorist", it could be a lack of evidence, but they are nothing short of what we do in America when we accuse someone of a crime. If the U.S. wanted to lie about who was behind it, I believe they would blame someone other then the "terrorist", someone who is surely alive, someone we wan't to pursuade the people to oppose.

Actually my bad...this article explains more of it...

The family last heard from him on April 9, when he said he was planning to leave Iraq via Kuwait as soon as it was safe. Berg was last seen walking with his bags the following day, apparently hoping to find his way through the turmoil engulfing the city and make it to the border.

On March 7, 2004, two weeks before his arrest in Mosul, an "enemies list" had been posted on a conservative website, FreeRepublic.com. The list was compiled from signatories to an anti-war petition, and its implied purpose was to encourage readers to harass those it named.

Berg's father was on that list, as was the family firm, Prometheus. This information may well have triggered the arrest of Berg in Iraq.

Berg's politics are not clear. His father, Michael, has described his son as a "staunch supporter" of US President George Bush. Friends said Nick believed he could help rebuild Iraq "one radio tower at a time". According to The New York Times, he was attracted to the Hebrew concept of tikkun olam - healing the world through social action.

The first few seconds of the video shows Berg sitting on a white plastic chair in an orange jumpsuit. He speaks directly to the camera in a relaxed way: "My name is Nick Berg ... I have a brother and sister, David and Sara. I live in Philadelphia." His white chair is identical to those in the photographs of the Abu Ghraib prison tortures, but such chairs are probably common in Iraq. It is highly likely that this segment is edited from the interrogation of Berg during his 13 days of custody.

In the next scene, Berg is sitting on the floor with five masked figures standing behind him. We do not see the figures enter. Berg looks lifeless, though his body appears to make slight movements. A man reads a lengthy Arabic statement in a passionless monotone. He is identified as "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi", a Jordanian associate of Osama bin Laden who is tied to dozens of terrorist acts.

Yet a leaflet recently circulated in Falluja, by no means a reliable source, claims that al-Zarqawi was killed in the Sulaimaniya mountains of northern Iraq during a US bombing. A US military report last month has claimed al-Zarqawi was killed in the bombing of Falluja.

Also, the US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, has said that al-Zarqawi was fitted with a prosthetic leg in a Baghdad hospital, yet the tape shows no evidence of a limp. CNN staff familiar with al-Zarqawi's voice have been quoted as saying the voice does not sound like his.

Among the many curiosities raised on the web about the fanatical five are:

· They are well-fed, fidgety, and reveal glimpses of white skin.

· Their Arabic is heavily accented (Russian, Jordanian, Egyptian).

· An aside in Russian had been translated as "do it quickly".

· One character wears wears bulky white tennis shoes.

· The man on the far left stands in the familiar "at ease" military posture.

· The men's scarves are worn and tied by people who "haven't a clue", says conspiracy theorist Hector Carreon, like actors in Hollywood movies.

· There is even a voice at the end that seems to ask in English, "How will it be done?" [http://www.aztlan.net/nick_berg_how_done.htm]

None of this proves a grand conspiracy, but it does raise questions. In the final segment of the tape, Berg is thrown to the ground, but doesn't move. During the decapitation, starting at the front of the throat, there is little sign of blood. The scream is wildly out of sync, sounds female, and is obviously dubbed.

Dr John Simpson, executive director for surgical affairs at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, told Ritt Goldstein of the Asia Times, "I would have thought that all the people in the vicinity would have been covered in blood, in a matter of seconds ... if it [the video] was genuine".

Simpson agrees with other experts who find it highly probable that Berg had died before his decapitation.

But there is still the problem of Berg's slight body movements while sitting on the floor, before the beheading. According to a blogger (internet diarist), Nick Possum, "this footage was subsequently modified frame by frame to make Berg's body move very occasionally". Apparently, this can be achieved with "commonly available software". [http://www.brushtail.com.au/nick_berg_hypothesis.html]

Possum believes "the available evidence surrounding the case suggests that it was a 'black operation' by US psychological warfare specialists ... to provide the media with a moral relativity argument to counter the adverse publicity over torture at Abu Ghraib". The use of FBI footage in the opening sequence, if confirmed, suggests the involvement of high-level US Government operatives.

I do not know who killed Nick Berg, or how he died. But there's something fishy about this video.

In the end, the question is: who killed Nick Berg, and why?

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

This is the man whom we are told is responsible for most of the latest terrorist attacks. His name is almost on the news daily.

Here is my original post which includes link to MSNBC.

2-0-Sixx said:
The Dead are Killing the Living!!!

Oddly, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist who is said to be the perpetrator of the gruesome beheading of American civilian Nick Berg was reported killed by a US bombing raid "some time ago"...
and info.
Quote:
Iraq militants claim al-Zarqawi is deadAl Qaida-linked extremist suspected of planning attacksThe Associated PressUpdated: 6:31 a.m. ET March 04, 2004BAGHDAD, Iraq - A Jordanian extremist suspected of bloody suicide attacks in Iraq was killed some time ago in U.S. bombing and a letter outlining plans for fomenting sectarian war is a forgery, a statement allegedly from an insurgent group west of the capital said.Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in the Sulaimaniyah mountains of northern Iraq “during the American bombing there,” according to a statement circulated in Fallujah this week and signed by the “Leadership of the Allahu Akbar Mujahedeen.”http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4446084/

"It said al-Zarqawi was unable to escape the bombing because of his artificial leg".
HERE is a link to CNN on April 30th 2003 which states the U.S captured Zarqawi.

Why is he so important? Well, remember according to Powell and the rest of the bush Admin. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is the magical link between Iraq and Al-Queda.

So far, every time a huge blast goes off Zarqawi is the main suspect…he is linked to The assassination of the Shia cleric, Ayatollah al-Hakim, Nick Berg, the Madrid bombings, the Korean and others, and yet they have no idea where he is yet alone if he is dead or alive.

Intelligence reports indicated he [Zarqawi] was in Baghdad and - according to Mr Powell - this was a sure sign that Saddam Hussein was courting al-Qaeda, which, in turn, justified an attack on Iraq.

But some analysts contested the claim, pointing to Mr Zarqawi's historical rivalry with Bin Laden. LINK
Zarqawi has been made out to be the number one terrorist, even overshadowing Osama. He has a 25 million dollar price tag on his head (the same value as Osama) and he’s not even on the FBI’s top most wanted list.

“He is described by CNN as "a lone wolf" who is said to act quite independently of the Al Qaeda network. Yet surprisingly, this lone wolf is present in several countries, in Iraq, which is now his base, but also in Western Europe. He is also suspected of preparing a terrorist attack on American soil.

He seems to be in several places at the same time. He is described as "the chief U.S. enemy", "a master of disguise and bogus identification papers". We are led to believe that this "lone wolf" manages to outwit the most astute US intelligence operatives.”

What’s interesting HERESY, is there is NO mention of this man prior to the end of 1999. They say is has no family – they are all dead. He comes from a Palestinian family in Jordan. He has no known friends associates etc. He has so much power that he can mastermind a terrorist attack anywhere in the world at anytime and yet, he has only been really known since the beginning of 2003.

I guess he is the modern day Keyser Soze!

LONDON, May 24 (IslamOnline.net) - The videotape showing the execution of Nicholas Berg in Iraq has at least 50 anomalies, video experts and computer analysts unveiled.

The Times reported this week the analysts’ suspicions that Berg could have been working for the American intelligence services or that the U.S. forces might have faked the video to cover up Berg’s death.

"Take, for example, the suspiciously white that appears shortly after frame 9,306 of the beheading video. It appears to belong to a captor wearing an American cap," said the British paper Sunday, May 23.

"This is one of at least 50 anomalies now being pored over by an assortment of video experts, computer analysts and ghoulish internet surfers," it added.

A video put on a website reportedly linked to al-Qaeda shows the beheading of Berg with his executioners saying it came in revenge for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. troops.

Berg arrived in Iraq for the first time in December 2003. In mid March, he was held by the U.S. military in the northern city of Mosul for no apparent reason, prompting his father to file a lawsuit in a federal court in Philadelphia.

He was released by the Americans on April 6 and disappeared since April 9 in unknown circumstances, the daily said.

Discrepancies

The Times underlined that more problematic is the American government’s claims that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whom the CIA announced that it believed he is the man who read the statement before beheading Berg.

"The CIA’s insistence that al-Zarqawi was responsible appears based on the scantiest of evidence," said The Times.

"Al-Zarqawi is known to have lost one leg, yet there is now sign on the video of either a prosthesis or any awkward movement."

"Sound experts have speculated that the voice believed to be of al-Zarqawi’s might have been dubbed on."

Intelligence Services

The British newspaper said Berg’s alleged past links to an al-Qaeda cell have raised questions in some quarters as to whether he might have been working for the intelligence services.

It referred to a curious connection provided by Berg’s family.

The FBI discovered that Zacarias Massoui, a French Moroccan who was awaiting trial on charges that he would have been one of the September 11 attacks, used Berg’s university’s e-mail password.

The Times said: "When Berg was arrested at a roadblock in Mosul, northern Iraq, last March, his Moussaoui connection provoked further scrutiny of the password incident".

The paper said that he was interrogated three times by the FBI in Mosul before being eventually released.

A senior Justice Department official admitted it is "unsettling it seemed that a civilian randomly executed by al-Qaeda should himself have been investigated for al-Qaeda links".

However, he insisted, American officials have no doubt that it was a "total coincidence".

Plot Thickening

The plot seemed to thicken when Michael Berg’s grief at his son’s murder turned to rage against the U.S. administration.

Berg had charged that his son’s detention in Mosul had been unlawful, and "had immersed my son in a world of escalated violence … were it not for his detention (he) would have (been) in my arms again".

On May 19, the father sent a letter to The Stop The War Coalition in London, saying that U.S. President George W. Bush's "ineffective" leadership is a "weapon of mass destruction".

"We are fed up with the lies from our government about Nick’s detention," the father said in the letter, a copy of which was sent to IslamOnline.net.

"The improbable sequence of events provoked intense scrutiny of both the U.S. government’s treatment of Berg and the video that shows his death," said the Times.

More Anomalies

The arrest last week of four Iraqis suspected of involvement in the revenge killing of the 26-year-old civilian adventurer had added to the confusion, the paper said.

The paper also said that there are numerous discrepancies in the times stamped on the video frames.

"While some of the anomalies appear easily explained by the obvious splicing and editing of the tape, others have excited intense debate."

Yeah, I forgot to write about this. You’re thinking about Paul M. Johnson. The story was so unbelievable it’s fucking hilarious! Supposedly, the terrorists who decapitated the man went to drop off his body and they were seen, captured and killed by the Saudi government! The Saudi’s said within an hour of the body’s disposal they caught the terrorists and killed them! No further information required! Now, let’s say this was Iran or Pakistan. Does anybody think for one second that the U.S would buy such a B.S. story? Fuck no, that shit would be on the news nonstop, but what happened to the this mans story? It faded away after one or two days.

HERE is the story FoxNews reported on June 19th.

Saudi Arabia — An Al Qaeda cell fulfilled its threat to kill an American hostage, beheading him and showing the grisly photos on the Internet. Hours later, Saudi officials claimed they gunned down the militant who allegedly masterminded Paul M. Johnson's (search) kidnapping.
HERE is a detailed report from the Washington post which explains the shootout.

If you’re looking for pics and the video, I don’t have them but I’m sure a quick google search will find them.

This is Johnson and his wife…looks a bit young.

(BTW The Korean was supposedly kidnapped and then his body was dropped off near Fallujah (sp).)

This is supposedly the man who was in charge of the kidnapping and beheading of Paul M. Johnson. His name is Abdulaziz Muqrin.

Now, compare that image to this image (from above) Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

Shit is fucking wacky.
