I'll be in L.A. in november and I'd like to know if somebody can recommend me a record shop where I can get sum underground music. I already was in L.A. before twice but i didn't find a good store anywhere so I hope you can give me some advice where I can find a cool store okay. Peace out to everybody on the siccness.

If your looking for straight hip hop underground then check out phat beatz. For underground west coast gangsta rap I just go to random used cd stores and usually come up on some tight shit. Amoeba, aarons records, second spin's store, wherehouse across the street from the beverly center (got fly mar - ya betta ask somebody, 50/50 comp, cellski - cb&hb and a few others last time I went). Stores that say they carry underground usually get raided for the good shit once they open so I would just stick to the stores I listed and mom & pop used cd stores, u always find the best shit there. peace

You might not find that much rare bay rap (atleast the good stuff) at amoeba because when it first opened I went through every cd in the rap section and ended up paying about $400 for everything haha. I sold most of it for a lot more but it looks like they rarely get any old releases in, everytime I go theres only one or two new rare cds in that I already have. Good luck though.
