they ain't gonna play your "radio song"

make a song so original they HAVE to play it
i agree, hopefully artists will figure this out, even with radio play, sales are still low, go back to basics and use them MOBB beats again

real talk to this thread but it all happened after rick rock coined his sound as that "hyphy" sound now errbody got synthy beats and followed suit. The Bay has one of the most original music scenes in the game and not just rap so I really wish folks would be more original.Plus all that goin dumb and gettin stupid is really workin, yall see how these youngstas act lol words got weight man

so whats the difference? from now when its all hyphy to back in 95 when everybody was mobbed out? stop living in the past this is the new sound of the bay, get used to it. i like it!
and yes i do miss the mobb shit, hell i still make a mobb beat every so often, but hey this the new bay so to speak, and as a bay area rap fan i support it

i dont think its about the sound necessarily, for me its more the "this guy made a song about scrapers and is on the radio,so if i make a song about scrapers i can get on the radio too" attitude

naw dont get me twisted, true shit is similar to back in the days, mobb shit was the prefered sound but you still had Bay folks bumpin some Digital Underground,Hiero,The Coup and so on but now groups like that only get play from folks outside the Bay and plus back in the day everybody had their OWN Mobb sound. Now a days all these beats be way more simple and basically got the same formula so shit is repetitive.Dont even trip,I aint one of them folks livin in the past but I would like to see our music at its full potential. One thing I gotta say with the help of folks like Locksmith(I think he need to leave ski and frontline),Clyde Carson and some other folks like them have def raised the bar as far as flow and lyrics go,I like that but than again alot more seem to be out for a quick buck and aint tryin to top the next man's flow.
