CAN ANY ONE DESIGN A "CHECK"

SOME HOME GIRL OF MINE IS STARTING A BUSINESS
AND SHE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME CUSTOM CHECKS DONE UP......HOW MUCH SHOULD SHE EXPECT TO PAY FOR
SAY 250 TO START.....SHE HAS THE PAPPER TO PRINT IT ON JUST NEEDS THE DESIGN.....HAVE ANY OF YA'LL DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS? OR GOT AN IDEA ON HOW YOU WOULD HANDLE THIS

I've never heard of anyone custom printing legal checks... I would assume you'd have to know all the bank info that is coded and printed on the bottom of all checks to even pull it off, otherwise it's a waste of time and effort...

if you own a biz then you just give your logo to the your bank and they can print it on your checks...but as far as more customized than that its a waste of funds for a biz...

Yea, I don't believe it is really legal to have your own checks printed to use for business. You need an account number and other codes on the bottom of the check in order to use 'em for a legit transaction. If it's serious, have your friend go to the bank and put the business logo at the top like tosin said, otherwise it really is a waste of time unless your girl doesn't mind gettin' popped by the Feds for fraud.

that does sound like a better idea of me just designing a logo but the bank doing the rest..does anyone know what size (dementions) to use?

You cannot print your own checks unles you have magnetic ink. You can get them custom designed and then forward that on to a third party that will print them. No one prints their own checks, thats ridiculous. You waist so much time to save what, an overall of 10 bux. To get a custom logo and designed is a diff. story.

Slowpoke, if you have a nice design you can even put a background on the checks. Like, my checks have a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge on 'em. I'm sure if you design the logo and the background, either the bank or a legit 3rd party company will not mind printing them up for you.

haha naw ma home girl got all the info for a 3rd party to print them and i'm just designing the logo that will be in the left hand corner ....just a b/w/ logo with the name of the company in a circle...thanks to all for the info
