Cammerin Boyd committed suicide and was not killed by SFPD

"San Francisco police say they were under attack when they shot and killed a disabled man Wednesday night.

Officers say the incident started when they tried to pull over a suspect who had been described as armed and in a suspicious vehicle. They say the driver did not pull over, and instead fired on them three separate times during the pursuit. Police shot and killed the suspect in the city's Western Addition neighborhood just after 8pm.

The dead man was identified as Cammerin Boyd, 29, of Oakland. Boyd had two prosthetic legs, and some residents in the Western Addition say Boyd was trying to get out of the vehicle and surrender when he was shot."




He killed himself, he did so by reaching for a gun under the seat of his car this is after shooting at the cops a few times during the chase as noted above. I think officers used the proper force to ensure their own safety. I believe that is what happened, only in San Francisco can a common criminal go from that to some kind of hero for the fight against the injustices done by the police.

I know the SFPD arent saints and injustices have been done to people in SF but I dont think this is one of them.

Why do you think they are covering this up then? I think they are telling the truth when they said he was reaching for his gun which was later found under his seat.

Well I'm bring this up a week late because I saw one of Boyd's family members bitching at a meeting on the news.

He reach for his gun and the cops shot him case closed. If he had not reached for his gun then he'd still be alive today.

Why is this so hard to believe? I'm not saying I think everything I read is true but in this case I dont think the cops are lying.

man fuck the sfpd..... there crooked as hell.. i seen them murder dude off 7th st. by the jail about a month ago..... the chase was called off but one cop was takin it personal .... i seen dudes truck round the corner hhit a parked car,, then here comes that one motorcycle cop...hella smoke pourin out dudes truck...but the truck starts to slowly take off again....no hesitating,,cop fires atleast 10 shots and kills him right in front of me and some coworkers.....my boy went into the station to say what he seen cus he was pissed they did this ..but the detectives ended up twistin he words to get them outta some shit........THEY GOT A LICENSE TO KILL

AND DONT BELIEVE NOTHING YOU SEE ON THE NEWS.....THEY SAID THE COP ONLY FIRED 3 SHOTS AND THAT DUDE HAD HIS TRUCK GOIN IN REVERSE...............ALL BULLSHIT........ SHIT MADE ME SICK

I BELIEVE THIS NEW CASE IS JUST ANOTHER -MURDER- BY THE PD :dead: :dead: :dead:

I thank you for your kind words, My opinion would be the same if it were one of my family member with a history such as Mr Boyd's. It would be sad indeed by not unexpected due to the chosen lifestyle of that person. I understand his family is mouring but they need not make this a public issue but rather accept that Cammerin did what he did and got caught up.
