The problem is the people running that shit are making too much money. They've got a slave labor force and federal funding, but it looks like the folks up top would rather funnel that money into their pockets instead of reinvesting in their business, or working for the betterment of our society.

i'm well aware this is nothing new.

i was actually the 3 of ten that didnt violate although i was close many times.

with the current budget crisis this is definately a subject that needs to be addressed. no, i dont think it can be changed overnight, but something can and should be done.

i'm just curious what the siccness thinks.

cuz they isnt shit out there for felons that get released from prison jobwise. who the fuck is gonna hire a parolee fresh out, do you expect him to get a good paying job right out the gate?

remember them movies like heat and this other one were they get out and they have to take shit from there bosses at a dishwasher job or getting 25% of your check taken away from the boss at a tire making company. who the fuck wants to deal with that shit.

so they go back to what they know comes to them naturally, and its easy. sure they are risk, but dealing with bullshit all day at a job you dont want to be at in the first place, is gonna make you want to do something aggravating to get all taht bullshit out of you. so you might as well do it right when you get out and take a chance on doing a bank or some shit, to get it out of your system.

theres help and group sessions to cope and reitroduce you back into the world, but a parolee hasnet adjusted to being free and getting his own after being locked up for years and years.

there is no reform or corrections, that is all a bunch of fuckin lies, to say to the general population and sugar coat it and say that these people can change, bullshit.

its liek them chevron comemricals where they are environmental and yadda all this helping the community, bullshit.

i have this thing with the way they distribute funds to schools, where the adminstration eats up most of the budget, and the kids are dumbed down. and then you wodner why the kids end up in prison when they grow up.

well dont worry, cuz its designed that way, otherwise where or how would the prisons get the money.

i really dont mind flavored tobacco products, and i like my blunts, but its just like when the FDA jsut passed there little regualtiosn saying that thye will ban all flavored tobacco products, cuz it makes kids think its just like candy, its misleading among other things. but hold on, there is an exception that phillip morris passed thru they lobbyist to the FDA and that is that IT IS STILL LEGAL TO SELL MENTHOL CIGARETTES, cuz its a niche market for african americans, even tho menthol is a falvored tobacco product and has a higher concentration of tobacco, they cant ban it. is it cuz it targets blacks, or is it cuz it is rally a profitable niche market, or maybe its both??

now tell me who is in control of this fuckin government now?, who is fuckin who?, it sure aint the people taking back their rights from the government and the corporate world.

im fed up with the menage a trois sleeping in the bed of the corporations lobbyists and this government and so are many others aorund this country. the fucking pensions that the unions get is insane and his bankrupting local and state governments, cuz of last year before retirement pension tactics. soem fire chiefs and hire echelon public figures using this tactic will retire in their 50s with 20 to 30 years left in their lives, getting a pension of half a million dollars, that is around 10 to 15 million dollars in retirement.

shit, i will be lucky to have atthe very least 100,000 dollars when i retire and at the msot maybe 200,000 sumthin thousand when i retire.

i dont care anymore people are broke right now, i know people that graduated 15 years ago from college, they dont have a job, they are lookin for menial jobs to get by, and they still owe 15,000 dollars on they student debt, from which they graduated 15 years ago with a bachelors degree. but this whole countrys broke, time to pathc up them small holes and cracks in the dam before they start getting streesed by whats behind them.

the prison system is IMO a fairly effective deterrent for most people to not want to commit a crime

but there is a large percentage of prisoners who are sociopaths or have other mental ailments ranging in very minor to easily noticable

i think if the court and prison systems worked more towards rehabilitation than fear mongering than the system would have a better success rate

also legalize weed because alot of felony paroles go back on some bullshit weed cahrges

I have some ideas to possibly make change. i'm not in a position now to voice those opinions but once done with the education portion of my personal rehabilitation, i plan to get involved with these issues.

i will say this much, it starts in the communities and if opportunity is available people will do the right thing, imo.

it is the feeling of no hope that reverts people back to criminal behavior in the low income communities that ultimately creates single family homes lacking sufficient role models to steer the youth in the right direction.

it is a cycle that can be broken, it is just a matter of when.

12 billion a year to watch people released and returned to sender is a complete waste of tax dollars.

Yeah it's fucking sad. It's just a fucked up system and Cali in general is fucked up mentality wise.

Cali just has so many gang problems out in the streets, drug problems and to top it off some laws just don't help the cause.

It all just comes down to the basics and root of everything. FAMILY & EDUCATION. When both those aspects are dysfunctional, society breaks down.

it is called california department of corrections and rehabilitation.

I guess that pre-release class you sign up for qualifies for the rehab part.

during a lockdown you cant go anyway.
