A California man dressed in a Spiderman costume is facing an attempted robbery charge after allegedly trying to steal a woman’s purse, police report.
Daniel James Bradley, 22, was snared Saturday afternoon by Merced cops and booked into the county jail in lieu of $65,000 bail. He is pictured in the above mug shot.
According to cops, Bradley approached the 24-year-old victim and demanded, “Give me your purse.” The woman, who thought Bradley was carrying a gun, ran away, screaming for help. Bradley was subsequently apprehended and both the victim and a witness identified him as the would-be robber
Investigators recovered a metal pipe Bradley had been holding. When asked about his superhero costume, the suspect explained that it was part of his “disguise.”
