I'm pretty sure USC is going to be dropped farther than that. Oregon will be ahead of them with good reason. Oregon lost to top 5 ranked Cal and USC lost to a weak Stanford team.
Also, Ohio St. should not jump Cal at all. They haven't played anybody. Purdue was overrated big time, the best team Purdue played before Ohio St. was Notre Dame.
That USC loss is probably going to end up hurting Cal in the long run. Cal was going to have to beat USC anyways to be a contender, so USC loss to Stanford makes Cal's strength of schedule a little weaker.
SC=South Carolina, not USC.
And it doest matter if USC lost, becuase Cal being ranked #2, pretty much just has to win out...esepcailly with the Big-10 having a down year, there is no way OSU jumps Cal.
Here is the top 10 compared to what i predicted.
1. LSU (65) 6-0 1,625
2. California 5-0 1,538
3. Ohio State 6-0 1,511
4. Boston College 6-0 1,346
5. South Florida 5-0 1,339
6. Oklahoma 5-1 1,221
7. South Carolina 5-1 1,183
8. West Virginia 5-1 1,059
9. Oregon 4-1 1,047
10. USC 4-1 1,024
#! LSU
#2 Cal
#3 OSU
#4 USF/BC
#5 BC/USF
#6 Okla
#7 SC
#8 WVU
#9 Oregon
#10 VT or Mizz or UK
I was off, essentially, by one pick...the number 10 spot, which should NOT be occupied by USC.
