so if any of u are stoners, or casual blowers, or u follow california politics, u know there possibly could be 2 bills calling for the legalization of weed in CA on next years voting ballot. im not talking bout medical beta, im talkin bout straight up posess a zip and blow with no legal consiquence.........

im not here to tell u to call a phone number or sign some online petition, basically no bull shit.we have a chance next year (possibly 2 chances) to legalize what shouldnt be illegal............earlyer this year Tom Ammiano introduced a bill to legalize and tax weed that kinda started something over here. since then alot has happened about the topic including polls that say most of us are ready for legalization, the governor saying it should be discussed, national debate on cable media outlets, the bloody mexican drug wars, the tax on oakland medical marijuana, the fucked up california economy. ive seen more dust kicked up just this past 8 months then i have the prior 29 years of my life. theres a very strong chance we can make this happen...........

this isnt a thread to debate the topic cus i nor anyone else cares if u think it should stay ilegal..........this thread was made cus theres a lot of californians on here that are in favor of ending the failed prohibition. theres power in (relative) numbers........

"The Cannabis Act of 2010" which is the newest initiative filed needs 434,000 signatures in the next few months to make it on next years ballot, where it would be met with Tom Ammianos bill.......

this site is pretty powerful and we need to take advantage of it..............

does anybody know where they are taking signatures? we should all try and sign it to get this goin................

if anybody knows where u can sign in ur city, post it............

of course u do, cus if it was legal it would be a better situation in every possible sence and that would suck...........
yeah the gov't controlling marijuana in this country isn't a bad idea...

everything the gov't controls is doing GREAT! lol...

i see both sides.....i'd rather have it be legal, without gov't control. but that won't happen.

i know what u mean, but i think everything else they run is in no comparisson to something the "regulate". alcohols regulated by the government, and when i was in school, we had to shoulder tap or find a big brother to by us alcohol.......for weed, its "prohibited" but not "regulated"........how is that better? we didnt have to wait for someone with an ID to buy it for us and we didnt have to leave campus.....i dont want to turn this thread into a debate one bit, and i dont believe it should even be taxed. i mean do i get taxed for growing my own tomatoes or jalapenos? but if thats what it taxes to legalize it, fuck it. it may be taxed but it will still be a hell of a lot cheaper than it is now...........

i want this thread to be a support thread. i hope it can stay active, not vital, and be used as an outlet to help get these/ this bill passed..........and i do hope people read it and act on it............

i reply to the bold. yes, technically you do, if you pay property taxes.

and there's NO way it won't be taxed...it will for sure be taxed.

i just dont trust the US gov't...

it shouldn't be regulated. if i want to grow a fuckin plant in my yard i should be able to. with no questions asked or taxes owed.

thsi country just doesn't want us to be able to do what we want without paying for it. cause then they don't make money....they being the gov't.
