NORCO ( KTLA) -- A truck with a half-dressed man in the truck bed, reportedly driven by a naked woman, crashed at high speed into a driving school early Sunday morning. The woman was critically injured. The man tried to run away but was too injured to escape.
Both Norco police and Riverside County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the incident and have yet to officially release details.
However, witnesses say the woman appeared terrified as she drove at high speed through the intersection of 4th St. and Hamner Ave at 5:00 a.m. with the man in the back of the truck. The unidentified woman lost control of the truck, drove through a horse trail fence, through a strip mall parking lot and crashed into the front of a driving school office.
The woman, who witnesses say was naked, staggered out of the truck and collapsed with facial and other critical injuries.
The man ran away from the scene but was discovered by firefighters. Witnesses say he told firefighters he was in the bed of the truck trying to stop the woman.
The woman is hospitalized, reportedly in very critical condition. The man is being questioned by investigators.
