Last time around we had the axis of evil, lots of Afghanistan, lots about the budget, and touched on very briefly lots of economic stuff and lots of teary-eyed patriotic flag waving filler.

Will this time around be more of the same? Do you expect more war talk? A war declaration? Lots of economic stuff?

Just lookin to see what people expect or think he will say so we can look at this tomorrow night and see who was right or closest or farthest off.

Drop your thoughts.

of course he'll touch on the economy, jobs and his new tax-plan.......and then probably more of the same about Iraq running out of time--no war declaration and probably not even a time-table...Just a reiteration of what he has been saying. I would be surprised if he brang anything 'new' to the table.

i think he will regurgitate alotta bologna that his public relations/ script writting staff gave him to practice leading up to tonight,
(he will make one or two petty faux paus )
and that the media will bite
(in sound-bytes, watch the news..)
and swallow all of his crap that he spews like the overexploited scatt-whore propagana machine it is all the while funneling it all to everyone around the world..

sad

sad

sad

thank him for causing inflation and devaluing the worth of our moeny if his tax plan goes through

and thank him when our next president is elected and he or she is faced with a 200-300 billion dollar deficit due to this stoopid war in IRACK:dead:

I predict the the following words/phrases will be used...

"American resolve" = 3 times
"together we can/must" = 5 times
"the evil tyrany" = twice
"axis of evil" = once
"9-11" = 6 times
"average American" = 4 times
"makes safe for our children" = twice
"Sadam must be..." = 3 times
"be willing to sacrafice..." = 3 times
"our men and woman of the armed forces" 5 times
"we are ready/will defend" = 4 times

He'll address Sadam/and or "terrorsist everywhere" in first person at least once while making a fist.

Finally, he'll end the broadcast by out doing a full-grown bear in a hot dog eating contest.

The speech was good.. and he touched on a lot of issues besides the WAR..

plus he started building a case against Iraq in detail.. I think the speech to the UN on Feb.5 will go way more into detail then he did.. but..

it was a good speech.. and fair amount of time was given to vital issues.

The speech was good..
I disagree 100%. I thought it was a horrible speach.

As far as the war goes, Bush did not make a persuasive case against Iraq and he failed to demonstrate that there is an immediate threat from Iraq to us or our allies

WA state Gov. Gary Locke's speach was much more interesting. He attacked Bush saying that "states and cities face our worst budget crises since WWII", "we are being forced to cut vital services from police to fire to health care." He also stated that Bush's 10 year $647 billion plan to rejuvenate the economy, is "upside-down economics."

Tom Daschle, said Bush "has promised a strong economy, and the result of two years of his effort have been 2 million jobs lost, a deficit of now $400 billion, a plummeting stock market and 1 million people without unemployment insurance compensation."

Dumbass Gary Locke. I didn't hear his speach but heard he was supposed to talk about 'Jobs'. How is he going to try and tell bush he needs to focus on Jobs when Gary can't even keep Boeing here in washington...we have the highest or 2nd highest unemployment in the nation. Gary don't know what he's talking about.

The S of the U utterly disgusted me. Hearing Bush constantly repeat that "trickle down" economics work to the Nation's avantage and seeing the mindless members of Congress applaud him....the shit made me gag....

Who in the hell left the gate open?
